Located in the trendy Eaux-Vives district, Arakel is a wine bar serving delicious gastronomic tapas in a chic and cozy space. Since its opening in July, the bar has become a popular spot for wine lovers and foodies alike, offering guests a selection of more than 500 wines paired with delicious tapas plates.
The owner wanted to create more than just a bar, a place where clients could come and relax, and indulge in exceptional cuisine. In fact, leading the kitchen is reputable chef Nathan Boche, who’s undeniable creativity, talent and passion is reflected in the food.
Arakel indeed celebrates the convivial experience of sharing food, inviting guests to discover different flavours from around the world — with a glass of wine of course. From the inventive Croq Tuna, with spicy tuna tartare on tapioca chips, to the smoked Simmental beef with mustard carrot, there’s a tasty delight for everyone.

The wine? Arakel boasts an extensive wine list, featuring references from Switzerland, France, Italy, and other fantastic regions around. The owner has a true passion for wine, having carefully compiled an excellent list of European classics and undiscovered gems you have to try!
The interior was crafted by experienced designer Marina Wenger, who accomplished creating a sleek yet warm space with stylish hints of vintage design. Think brass-gilded materials, geometrical velvet furniture and a glowing cocktail bar, that has earned Arakel its spot on the design scene.
