Each week, Elevated Weekly explores the escapes, objects, rituals and experiences shaping the future of contemporary luxury through a carefully curated edit of global discoveries. Four signals. One weekly edit.

From a new Aegean retreat and an automotive-inspired timepiece to wellbeing across the Atlantic and cinema beneath the stars, this week’s selection explores how design, craftsmanship, wellbeing and culture continue to shape positive luxury.

The Escape: Four Seasons Opens Its Highly Anticipated Retreat in Mykonos

High above Kalo Livadi Bay, Four Seasons’ second Greek address unfolds like a whitewashed Mykonian village across six cliffside hectares. Its 94 rooms, suites and villas meet a private beach, two infinity pools and four sea-facing restaurants and bars. Add garden-set spa rituals and excursions to Delos, and the island’s famous tempo becomes entirely optional.

The Object: Breitling Unveils New Timepiece Honoring the Iconic Aston Martin DB5

Inspired by the Aston Martin DB5 — and its 1965 encounter with James Bond—Breitling’s Top Time B01 arrives in three limited editions. A genuine wood rehaut echoes the car’s steering wheel, while steel, platinum and red-gold cases frame silver, lacquered black and natural onyx dials. Beneath the bonnet: a COSC-certified chronograph movement with 70 hours of power reserve.

The Ritual: Orient Express and Guerlain Introduce Ocean Rebirth

Across the Atlantic, time itself becomes treatment. From 12 to 26 October 2026, Orient Express Corinthian sails from Lisbon to Bridgetown via the Azores for Ocean Rebirth, a 14-day retreat created with Guerlain. Personalised rituals span nutrition, movement, mindfulness and sleep, combining breathwork, tailored menus, meditation and skincare technology in a rare setting for genuine disconnection.

The Experience: The 79th Locarno Film Festival Returns to the Piazza Grande

As dusk settles over Locarno, Piazza Grande becomes cinema’s most atmospheric screening room. From 5 to 15 August, the 79th edition brings 233 films to the lakeside city. Leopard Club members can pair screenings with three-course dinners in an exclusive lounge, red-carpet access and reserved VIP seating — a suitably cinematic way to experience eleven days of international discovery beneath the stars.
