Founded in 2015, Artion Galleries traces its roots back to a family’s deep-seated passion for art. Surrounded by his grandfather’s impressive collections and a mother who curated for a living, founder Konstantinos Manolakis naturally gravitated towards making art a business, while still preserving his love for it. Interlacing an innate creativity with a modern entrepreneurial flair, Konstaninos would go on to create an immersive concept that bridges the gap between past and present, showcasing a series of traditional and contemporary art pieces that take the viewer on a thought-provoking journey through eras of human creativity. With the opening of initial galleries in Athens, New York and even Qatar, Konstantinos eventually turned his sights back to Europe, opening an Artion outpost in the international hub of Geneva. Here, the gallery emerges as an artistic sanctuary, expertly overseen by country director Angela Comninos, who carefully curates art while embracing the philosophy that “we present artworks tailored for the refined tastes of the Genevois and the cultivated eye of international connoisseurs.” Today, stepping into Artion Galleries is not just an encounter with art, but an immersion into the living history of creative expression; an invitation to explore art’s enduring power across cultures and moments in time.

Curating art demands a discerning eye and an intuition attuned to the nuances of expression. At Artion Galleries, Konstantinos’s vision comes to life through a meticulous artist selection process. “It takes two to tango, and it always comes down to our shared passions,” Konstantino shares. The gallery’s selection process demands artists possess a distinctive identity, transformative vision and ability to execute with the utmost precision. “Great skill and thinking converge in pristine execution,” notes the founder. The gallery’s curation ethos thrives on the interplay between heritage and innovation, harmonizing different schools of thought and fostering an evolved narrative that educates and inspires collectors and enthusiasts alike. Among many notable creators, Milly Martionou’s abstract expressionist paintings transport viewers into a realm where emotion flows freely onto the canvas. The Venice-born Gianfranco Meggiato, masterfully merges the ancient and the contemporary in his sculptural installations, breathing life into heritage with a modern twist. And then there’s Carla Tolomeo, whose art chairs have transcended traditional confines, gracing the salons of luxury brands worldwide and finding a home in the lives of celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sophia Loren, and even Bill Gates.
