Top 5 things to do this week (3-9 February)

From an evening of hearty Italian cuisine at restaurant Duchessa, to an oriental spa escape at Bain-Bleu Hammam and Spa, here’s our top 5  things to do this week in Geneva.

Hearty, classic Italian cuisine in a trendy setting

There are very few restaurants in Geneva that can claim a more attractive location than Duchessa, perched on a corner overlooking the stunning Place de Neuve square. The culinary hotspot serves up traditional Italian food in an elegant and trendy space, and has a menu with everything you could possibly imagine. We opt for La Pasta Duchessa – a black truffle pasta blazed in front of you with rich truffle cream and topped with truffle shavings – it tastes as good as it sounds!

Parisian institution in the heart of Geneva

A real institution, Relais de l’Entrecôte is a classic Parisian bistrot located in the heart of Geneva. It was Paul Gineste de Saurs who in 1959 first created the restaurant in Paris, with his daughter Marie-Paul then continuing her fathers legacy and expanding outside. The restaurant is totally sophisticated and well-run, and owes it’s reputation to a single course menu: a walnut salad followed by a tender sirloin steak with its famous secret sauce, and delicious thin-cut french fries of course!
