Beau-Rivage’s lakeside terrace has had a makeover for the winter, with a new alpine chic display that transports guests from the city to a charming mountain chalet. Located on the banks of Lake Geneva with striking views of the nearby alps, the heated lodge is the perfect winter escape, with twinkling trees, hanging wreaths and comfy sofas draped with fur blankets and throws, that set a wonderfully festive scene.
What’s on the menu?
The menu is suitably wintery – think creamy squash soup with double cream de Gruyère and traditional Swiss cheese Malakoffs – along with seasonal delicacies like the elegant Gillardeau oyster platter, Scottish smoked salmon with sour lime cream toasts and homemade duck foie gras from Landes. After this, take your pick from a list of sweet treats, including a decadent hot chocolate with hazelnut cookies and vanilla ice cream or the refined Granny Smith carpaccio with a green apple sorbet — and pair everything with fabulous Deutz champagne, of course.
